Recent advances in layered double hydroxides‐based electrochemical sensors: Insight in transition metal contribution

چکیده

Among the nanomaterials reported in literature, layered double hydroxides (LDHs) are considered promising for electrochemical sensor technology. Transition metal-based (TM-LDHs) show excellent electrocatalytic properties that facilitate redox reactions with analytes, e. g. H2O2, glucose or glyphosate. Elaboration of porous nano-structures TM-LDHs nanosheets on electrode surface allows a rapid diffusion analytes and good accessibility TM active sites. An association conductive materials, graphene metal nanoparticles (M-NPs), improves electronic conductivity LDH-based composites also activity. With selection recent publications, present mini-review aims to discuss about specific role played by TMs (Ni, Co, Cu, Mn Fe) LDH layers performance (sensitivity detection limit) these TM-LDHs-based sensors.
